David Hall

Founder & Developer

David Hall is the founder and sole developer of Mesostrength. What started as a personal frustration with tracking mesocycle-based training in spreadsheets turned into a full product built for lifters who take hypertrophy seriously.

David has spent over a decade in the gym with a deep focus on evidence-based hypertrophy training. He follows the research closely - volume landmarks, progressive overload, periodization, and autoregulation are not abstract concepts to him but principles he applies in his own training every week.

He built Mesostrength because nothing else handled mesocycle periodization properly. Existing apps treated every workout the same. None of them understood that volume needs to change week to week, that fatigue accumulates across a mesocycle, or that deloads are a structural necessity and not a sign of weakness.

As both the developer and a daily user of the product, David builds features he actually needs. Every decision in Mesostrength - from the volume adjustment algorithm to the workout flow - comes from real training experience, not product committee guesswork.
